Azimut Verve 42
Triple-outboard sport weekender
The Verve 42 is a fast, compact outboard yacht with a contemporary take on luxury. Three 400 hp Mercury outboards give it a top speed of 43 knots and a cruising speed of 32 knots.
Planned as a weekender, it keeps its living spaces practical and comfortable. Francesco Struglia designed both its exterior and its interior, while Michael Peters developed the stepped SVVT hull.

Exterior design
The deck is made to change: the hi-lo table drops away entirely, and in the cockpit a side section folds down to form a platform over the water, with a ladder that slides out for swimming.
Interior design
The owner’s cabin, in the aft part of the lower deck, has a queen-size bed and is lit by windows in the hull side.

High-performance double-stepped hull
Michael Peters’ patented SVVT (Stepped “V” Ventilated Tunnel) hull gives the Verve 42 a deep-V bottom with two steps across it and a shallow tunnel running aft through the centre. That tunnel is the key difference from other stepped hulls: it keeps the boat steadier fore and aft when turning hard at speed or in rough water, an ideal match for outboard power.
Carbon-Tech Generation
The Verve 42 uses carbon fibre for its upper parts, trimming their weight by up to 30%. With a lower centre of gravity it rolls up to 15% less and offers more room on board, while staying stable and quick to respond.
Triple outboard propulsion
Three 400 hp Mercury outboards push the Verve 42 to a top speed of 43 knots, with a cruising speed of 32. The set-up gives this sporty yacht a strong power-to-weight ratio, light displacement and smooth, responsive handling.
