Ownership, Made Effortless

Buying a yacht takes a few months. Owning one takes years — and it is the second part that decides whether the whole thing was a good idea. Our involvement is built around that, which is why our relationship with an owner usually gets busier after delivery rather than quieter.
One point of contact, two countries
Elite Yachts represents leading European yacht, motorboat, sailing yacht and catamaran brands across Colombia and Panama. Rather than building a parallel yard of our own, we work through established partners — Marina Portobello, Sunset Yachts Group and Narval Marine — and coordinate them, so an owner deals with one team instead of chasing four suppliers across two countries.
- Portobello Marina & Boatyard — Tv. 55 #21D-28, Cartagena de Indias, Bolívar, Colombia.
- Narval Marine – Boatyard — Punta Culebra, Panama.
The four things we take off your hands
After-sales support. Genuine parts, warranty handling and a direct line to our service team in Colombia and Panama — not a ticket queue in another time zone.
Maintenance and refit. Scheduled servicing, technical inspections and refit work carried out to internationally recognised standards by our marine partners. In this climate the schedule is the whole discipline, as we explain in essential yacht management.
Marina and berthing. Berthing, haul-out and storage through Marina Portobello and the partner network — your yacht looked after between voyages rather than simply parked.
Yacht management. Crew, logistics and upkeep handled end to end, so ownership stays effortless season after season.

Between voyages
A yacht spends far more time waiting than moving. Where it waits, and who looks in on it while it does, is most of what determines its condition three seasons from now.

What a first year looks like
The pattern is much the same on a 40-foot Saxdor and on a 30-metre Azimut. Only the invoices change.
- Commissioning. The yacht is received, rigged, launched and checked over before you ever see it in the water.
- Handover and familiarisation. Time aboard with someone who knows the systems — not a folder of manuals and good luck.
- First scheduled service. Carried out on the manufacturer’s hours, logged properly, so warranty cover stays intact.
- First haul-out and antifouling. Timed around yard availability in Cartagena or Panama, and around Pacific tides if the boat is on that side.
- End-of-season review. What broke, what wore, what should be budgeted next — in writing.
Every one of those entries goes into the boat’s history. Years later, that file is what makes a resale straightforward — the same evidence we ask for when we take on a certified pre-owned yacht.
Beyond the purchase, we are committed to building lasting relationships based on transparency, attention to detail and dependable support.
